Christina Milian is set to sue the producer who worked on her 2003 smash ‘Dip It Low’ claiming that he lied about a sample used on the track.

In legal documents filed in Los Angeles the singer states that Poli Paul assured her that there were no samples used on the song.

However, Milian has since spent a large portion of her fortune fighting a plagiarism lawsuit brought by Thomas Turino, Larry Crook and Dan Dickey who say she used part of their track ‘La Sirena’.

The lawsuit says that Paul Looped a 12 second sample of ‘La Sirena’ into ‘Dip It Low’ after hearing the original song in a record store.

Her lawyer, Ed McPherson, wants Paul and his associate, Spencer Cowlings Entertainment, to pay the $300,000 Milian has already spent defending herself in the case, and punitive damages.
